About Beyond the BRIM Consulting
Diversity and inclusion can be an unexplored and intimidating cliff. At Beyond the BRIM, we strive to create the scaffolding necessary to support the unique challenges individuals face when approaching the edge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. With our customized interactive learning solutions at the forefront of our pedagogical learning design, we specialize in creating an environment that is: Balanced, Restorative, Inclusive, and Maintains momentum.
We practice what we teach: Our team consists of individuals who reside in the Maritimes; we understand the unique challenges regarding diversity needs of Atlantic Canada. A combination of lived experiences and decades of training have prepared us to tackle a variety of DEI needs. Our industry-specific approach addresses the DEI needs of businesses with their respective sector in mind.
We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to go beyond their current knowledge base in order to promote a sustainable relationship with inclusion and diversity awareness.
The goal of Beyond the BRIM is to provide the scaffolding necessary to aid clients in establishing an inclusive workplace environment that is: Balanced, Restorative, Inclusive, and Maintains momentum.
Balanced: Creating spaces with the challenge of balance in mind.
Restorative: Bridging the gap between generational socialization and the people we want to be.
Inclusive: We strive to create inclusive – not just diverse – spaces for individuals to grow and thrive.
Maintains Momentum: Creating sustainable incentives is the only way to enact change in any community or organization. This pillar is the foundation for our growth and incentives as an organization.
Evelyn Bradley (she/her)
Managing Partner; Professional Services & Training Delivery
As a diversity and inclusion consultant providing workshop development, training, and facilitation services, I believe that expanding one’s knowledge of unconscious bias as a way to learn the importance of cultural competency is the first step to fostering an inclusive workplace. As an educator, my pedagogical foundation has taught me that the most complicated topics can be broken down and simplified for dissemination to a wide variety of audiences. This knowledge informs all aspects of my DEI work, even with the most complex topics around race, gender, and sexual orientation. I work with both professionals and individuals (on a personal level) to develop materials that center culturally competent programming.

An expert in Blind Recruiting Software Implementation practices (Enterprise & Job by Job) along with Name-Blind & Blind recruitment practices. Blind recruitment only works during the pre-interview selection process. Once candidates arrive for interview, conscious and unconscious bias can still creep in. That’s why we recommend using our BTB interview scorecards to make the interview process as fair and objective as possible.
Measuring, tracking and improving workforce demographics and implementing “Diversity in Hiring” efforts is essential to maintaining a company’s brand and we can help.
